

Patricia Anne Hill, 73, Kansas City, MO, passed away March 20, 2014 at Kansas City Hospice House following a lengthy battle with pulmonary fibrosis. She was born June 22, 1940, daughter of John W. and Virginia Flor Hildensperger, and was raised in Wausau, WI until the age of 17 when the family relocated to Kansas City, KS. She attended Bishop Newman High School three years but graduated from Bishop Ward High School, KCK in 1958. She attended Donnelly College in KCK before being employed in the office of Alfred Steinzeig, MD for two years. Patricia worked in the cardiology department of St. Mary’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO for three years as a registered C/V Technologist.
In 1963 she married George W. Duff, Jr. and the couple had two children: Kelley Schuberger of Kansas City, KS and Kevin (Amy) of Lee’s Summit, MO. They divorced in 1970. Pat worked for Frontier Airlines at KCI as a ticket agent and later Asst. Operations Mgr. in Los Angeles, CA, a 20 year Frontier employee.
She met her husband of 25 years, Kenneth D. Hill in 1987 and married in 1989. The couple traveled extensively worldwide.
She was extremely family focused. Patricia is survived by her husband Kenneth D. Hill; two children; stepson Mike S. Hill of Pleasant Hill, MO; five grandchildren; two sisters Nancy Stuessel (Jay) of Peachtree, GA and Ruth Bolton, PhD (Merle Bolton, M.D.) of Palm Springs, CA.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 23, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to National Jewish Respiratory Health Medical Center, 1400 Jackson St., Denver, CO 80206, for Research & Treatment of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.
