
Patricia “Pat” Ann Klimt entered eternal rest on November 22, 2025, at the age of 94 years. Pat was a long time resident of Independence MO, and most recently resided at John Knox Village, Lee’s Summit, MO
Pat was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Robert and Edna McCannon. She attended Northeast High School. She married Harry “Les” Klimt and had three boys: Robert, Eric and Kurt.
Les’s career as a TWA pilot allowed them to travel the world meeting and making many long-lasting friends throughout the years.
The highlight of Pat’s life was her family and friends. She was a legendary home cook. Her Thanksgiving meals are still talked about.
Besides travel, she enjoyed reading, cross word puzzles, knitting, playing cards, BINGO and drinking coffee and maybe a little libation every now and then. She had a very keen sense of humor.
She is preceded in death by her spouse, Les Klimt, her parents, her two sisters Shirley Milhon and Nancy Dalton.
She is survived by her three sons Robert Klimt (Michelle) Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; Eric Klimt (Lauren) Overland Park, KS and Kurt Klimt, HI. She loved her six grandchildren, Adam Klimt (Shauna Grady), Erica Klimt, Emily Klimt, Lydia Klimt, Natalie Klimt and Colin Klimt. Her brother-in-law Gary Klint (Diana). As well as her nephews Mike Milhon (Annetta), Larry Milhon (Melissa Ness), and her niece Sandy Niedens (Mike) and her many great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the Frank Lasta (1932-2024) family for the all the kind companionship Frank gave to Pat. He is greatly missed.
The family would also like to thank and acknowledge the care and love given to Pat at John Knox Village.
