This is New Year's Eve and all I can do is remember the great times we had as kids celebrating in our house on Maiden Lane. We made lots of noise and got to stay up late-Patty was a great sister and I miss her terribly tonight. I hope you are making some noise up there thinking of your family that loves you.

I met Patty through her aunt, Sarah who was a sister at the Benedictine convent in Atchison when I was a volunteer there.  And she was such a faithful friend, she never failed to keep in touch.

I am stunned to learn today of Patty's passing.  I was Patty's roommate 27 years ago and I worked with Stan at Bernstein-Rein Advertising.  Stan asked me to introduce him to my roommate Patty and the rest, as they say, is history.  They made a great team - Stan, I'm sending you a hug and a prayer. Patty was truly someone so special. Although I've lived in Pennsylvania the past 18 years & had not been in touch with Stan & Patty, I remember he fondly - I know her family will too.

I have been deeply shocked and saddened to hear of your great loss.  Patty was a lady who made an impact.  Even during the short time I knew her - through Aunt Sarah at the Mount, Atchison - she made me feel special and like a life long friend!  Indeed I treasured the hope that one day she and Stan could come and visit me in Aberdeen - Scotland - not South Dakota.  She faithfully kept in touch over the years and was always interested in my travels.

I thank God that we have the sure and certain hope of meeting again.

I just heard about Patty yesterday, and I am so sorry for your loss!  My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

I knew Patty through her first husband.  My father was a volunteer for the Ozanam Home in the 1960's. I met Patty when they were dating.  She was like a big sister to me.  She took me under her wing, taught me how to drive a manual (at the tender age of 14), helped me get my act together to go back to school.  We loved it whenever she was around.  She took trips with us to the Lake of the Ozarks and let us teach her how to water ski (even though I don't think she was too fond of it).  She was a beautiful person and always smiling and full of fun.  I still have pics of Sandy and Scott at my father's house when they were little on an Easter Sunday. Patty was always a ray of sunshine and even though it's been a few decades since I've seen her, I was shocked and saddend when I read of her passing.  I miss her terribly.  She was and is an angel.

Patty had been a tennis player with me, and I remember her as a person with such high energy and charm.  I am sincerely sorry for the loss of 
Patty.  May God give peace
to the family and friends.

I always looked forward to family events because I knew my cousin Patty and her equally amazing sisters would be there.  We usually got into some kind of mild trouble, but it was worth it for all the adventures and fun we had!  I will miss her even though she will always be with me in my fondest memories, present at all the future family events.

Patty was my older sister that knew how to make me laugh when I needed to. She always cared enough to let me know I was loved and that distance just meant there was miles between us but not in thought or heartfelt love. She was always there if you needed to talk and always there if I needed her. Patty was a closet comedian and I only hope that she is somewhere nearby and can feel the love of all her family and friends that will surely miss her like I do.  Time is short, so please tell the ones you care about how much you love them today.

Dear Stan and Patty's family.  We wanted to extend our most heart-felt sympathy for the sudden loss of Patty. Her passing is a loss to all of us who knew her and loved her caring ways, warm smile and her ability to light up a room with her presence.

I will miss my sister so much.  She was the light of our family and the glue that kept us altogether.  Her love touched everyone she met and she never let go.  Her memorial was testament of her life......standing room only!!!!  She was loved by all and we will feel her presence among us for the rest of my life. Patty and I met in the 1980's when she was working at Aetna. She was such a happy and genuine person - embracing the good and the bad and always so kind to welcome everyone. Whether it was a business meeting or fiesta in your home, Patty was fun-loving, gracious and loving.  Please know that you are all in my prayers at this time of sudden loss, and I am hopeful that you will find comfort in family and friends.  She was a magnificent woman.

I enjoyed knowing and working with Patty at Mission Valley School. She worked hard at her job as a school nurse while giving out good information to the kids and doing it in a gentle, loving manner. She came to our daughter Julie's service when she died suddenly 3 years ago. She was one of the ones who helped us get through. Patty will be missed.

I will miss Patty at Mission Valley Middle School.  We would often have lunch outside on nice days when our schedules permitted.  She would always fill me in on all of her activities.  Patty's positive attitude and smile were contagious.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Patty was a very valued, long-time volunteer with The Friends of Chamber Music, and the staff, other volunteers and patrons will all miss her.  She was always so enthusiastic and bubbly!  She added charm and excitement to everything she did!  A couple of times we asked her to model fur coats at our annual gala to drum up interest.  She was a great model--funny and cute!  She'll be greatly missed.

Patty was a very valued, long-time volunteer with The Friends of Chamber Music.  The staff, patrons, and other volunteers always so enjoyed being with her--her bubbly enthusiasm and her out-going friendliness with everyone there was always like a beautiful breath of fresh air. And she loved to take on all kinds of jobs.  For one or two of our fundraising galas, she roamed around showing off a gorgeous fur coat to drum up higher auction bids on it.  She had a great time chatting up the patrons and acting like a very friendly model!  We all adored her and will miss her shining presence very, very much.

Having known Patty for many years as another school nurse, I can only say how very sad I am to lose one of my special Shawnee Mission nurse friends. She will be greatly missed.  Patty was always enthusiastic about everything she did.  Her positive example will be remembered.  Those who knew her have been blessed by having her in their lives.  I pray that you will know our Lord's peace through this difficult time and in the days ahead.

  We are a class of 24 nurses who graduated from St. Mary's 40 years ago. Patty was our spirit and our drive to get things done. She had such a positive attitude and made each of us feel special to her. She always listened with her heart. She's the reason we are like sisters after all these years. She would get her creative juices going, and come up with the best ideas for our many reunions. The white stretch limo ride to the alumni banquet at our 20 yr. reunion was one of her best. 
     Two other classmates have gone before her, so we know that Patty is in heaven having a great reunion with Vera and Betty and sharing a pan of brownies. She will be deeply missed.

Such a shock. I left Mission Valley last year but thought about Patty frequently.  She always had a smile on her face and seemed to bounce down the halls. Loved to hear how excited she was about sewing projects and grandchildren and life in general.  She was a great comfort to me during a personal crisis some years ago. My deepest sympathies to all her family and to our mutual friends.

Patty welcomed me into her home as one of her "bonus" kids. I acted like I owned the place; baking cookies, catching up on "The Munsters" on cable and eating too many rice crispy treats. The lesson I received from Patty was her unending love for her family. Patty's love for Sandy, Scott and Stan was followed by her beloved grandchildren, family and friends. I am thankful to know that I too was on that list. I will miss her always and hope that somehow the burden of grief the family has will be lessened knowing so many of us are sharing it. If I am half the nurse she was I will consider my career well spent. Love to you all...

Stan, I was in shock when Janie called me yesterday. Richard and I always enjoyed our conversations with Patty and loved her beautiful smile. My first snow skiing trip with the Kansas City Ski Club was with her as my roommate and I have called her my friend ever since. A lovely lady who will be missed by so many.  I only saw her a couple- three times a year, usually during the holidays at family gatherings.  She always had an adventure to relate, books she was reading and wanted to talk about, and "Joann, when you get ready to take a trip and want someone to go along, give me a call!" Patty and I had some great times together when I trained her for working the summer program for special ed students. She was a wonderful friend, very dedicated and always going the extra mile to help others. The nurses will miss her greatly. My heart aches and my prayer are with all those close to her.

Patty was a joy to have in our Tuesday night golf league at Creekmoor.  I always had a great time playing with her and I am shocked we lost her at such a young age.
