Paul Edward Crain

Paul Crain, age 83, of Raymore, Missouri passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2025. Born in Kansas City, Kansas, to Emmitt and Mary Crain, Paul lived a life filled with love, faith and adventure.

He is survived by his wife of 59 1/2 years, Maureen; his son Paul and his wife, Kaylin, and their two sons, Cameron and Tucker; daughter; Beth Croake and her four children, Connor, Zach, Max, and Kennedy; daughter Sarah Magruder and her husband, Dave, and their three children, Emmalee, Katherine, and Eli; and sister Carol Thomas.

A proud graduate of Ward High School, Paul worked as a sheet metal worker and started Modern Air in Lees Summit until retiring in 2001. He raised his family in Raytown, MO where he was a member of St. Bernadette's Catholic Church. Paul and Maureen moved to Lee's Summit in 1994, where they became devoted members of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Paul's passions extended far beyond his work. He was a devoted husband, father, grandpa, uncle and friend.

Maureen and Paul loved entertaining and opening their home to family and friends, earning him a reputation as life of the party.

He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and hunter. He enjoyed painting ceramics and remodeling projects for his loved ones.

A celebration of Paul's life will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lee's Summit, on Monday, July 7, 2025. Visitation from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon. Graveside service will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church or Leavenworth Retirement Fund.

A visitation for Paul will be held Monday, July 7, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1800 MO-150, Lee's Summit, MO 64082, followed by a mass of Christian burial from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
