Pauline Teresa Lawless

Pauline Teresa Lawless, 90, passed away September 23, 2004. Funeral services will be 12noon Monday, September 27, 2004, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5104 St. John Ave. with burial following at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. For those wishing, the family suggests contributions to the Pierce Michael Lawless Sr. scholarship fund, in care of Rockhurst High School, 9301 State Line, Kansas City, MO 64114. Pauline was a 1931 graduate of Northeast High School and was the granddaughter of the late Marcus Waltermire founder of Northeast Realty Co., and had worked in the real estate office in the 1940's with her father the late Paul Waltermire. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pierce Michael Lawless Sr., who was president and owner of the Lawless & Johnson Rug Co., and she had worked in the office of Lawless & Johnson from 1970 until 1982. Pauline was a past officer and life member of the Rockhurst Circle and a member of the auxiliaries of Seaton Center, Good Shepherd Manor and Our Lady of Mercy Country Home. Pauline had also been a member of Holy Cross and its Altar Society since 1938. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Sue Neal; four sons, Michael, James, William and John; her brother, Marcus; ten grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren.
