Peggy Louise (Swadley) Dodson, 62, of Independence, Missouri, passed away May 8, 2015. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 16, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery South. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or National Kidney Foundation.
Peggy was born July 25, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri, daughter of Wilmer C. and Grace Mae (Stephens) Swadley. She had worked in the healthcare. She was preceded in death by her son JC Dodson, daughter Kathren Dodson and nephew Billy Payne. Peggy is survived by her husband Joey Dodson, daughter Michelle Dodson, brothers Doug and Gary Swadley, sisters Linda Dodson (Larry), Patty Payne (Packy Smith) and Gail Cisneros; grandchildren Annette Dodson, Faith Dodson, and Gabriel Burkhart, extended family and friends.
