Peter J. Graham, Sr., 85, of Independence, MO passed away on Nov. 30, 2017 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Visitation from 6-8pm Wed., Dec. 6th at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel, 11924 E. 47th St., KCMO 64133. Funeral service 10am Thurs., Dec. 7th at the chapel with burial following at Mount St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Peter was born July 20, 1932 in Kansas City, MO to Lawrence and Helen Graham. He was a driver for Downtown Wholesalers for 24 years. Peter also worked at the Kansas City Museum for 10 years and coached baseball for over 50 years all around the Kansas City area.
Peter is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Mary Graham; his parents; his brothers, Bob, John, Ed and Gene Graham and his sisters, Mary Johnson and Edith Leslie “Pooch”. He is survived by his 5 sons and 2 daughters, Peter J. Graham, Jr., Ron Graham, Cathy Copenhaver Graham, Steve Graham (Jo Ann), Karen Greer, Thomas Graham (Anita) and David Graham; 22 grandchildren; 58 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews.
