She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 24 years, Richard; her parents Aaron and Mary Magdalene (Fisher) Kitchen; two brothers, Doyne and Jackie; two sisters, Mary Kathryn and Margaret; and great-granddaughter, Lillian Faye.
Survivors include four daughters, Debra Searcy (Gene) of Kansas City, Missouri; Kathryn Wilde (Roger) of Sebring, Florida; Penny Fischbach (Don) of Kansas City, Missouri; Marilene Hogue of Rocky Comfort, Missouri; a son Richard Brandt (Vicki) of Pt. Charlotte, Florida; sister, Marjorie Rowlison, nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
She worked at the GSA for 25 years and retired in 1984. She was a Stephen’s Minister and sang in the church choir.
Visitation is Monday July 13, 6:00-8:00 pm at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral Service is Tuesday, July 14, 10:00 am at St. Peter’s UCC at 700 E. 110th Street in Kansas City, Missouri. Burial will be at Mt. Moriah Cemetery South following the funeral service.
