

Born July 24, 1952, in Oakland, NE, he was the oldest of 3 children. He married Diana Lynn Mackling in 1975. They had 2 children and moved to Missouri in 1996.
He was preceded in death by his father figure Blaine Rish, parents Elton Bray and Jean (Peterson) Bray, Grandparents Ralph and Minnie Peterson, and Ernest and Etta Bray, and Donnie Peterson. He is survived by his wife, Diana, his daughters, Jasmine Brandt (Shaun), Kayla Gossage (Nathan), and 4 grandchildren Quincy, Halee, Matthew, and Elizabeth, his brother Nathan Bray, his sister Gail McCorkindale, and several other extended family members and countless friends.
Randy was an Army veteran from the Vietnam War era. He couldn’t sit still, he was so generous that he never learned how to say no, and was always doing something to stay busy. He was an active volunteer at the American Legion Post 21 in Independence, MO and the veteran food pantry. He was also the Assistant Director for the American Legion Rider (ALR). He loved woodworking, motorcycling, attending his grandchildren’s events, and helping his children anyway he could.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held at the American Legion post 21 on June 16th from 3 to 7pm. Address is 16701 E US Hwy 40 Independence, MO 64055. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the American Legion Riders chapter 21 in memory of Randy Bray.
