Raymond Diaz, 85 of Kansas City, MO died July 8, 2014 at the Marshfield (MO) Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday July 14, 2014 at Sacred Heart/Guadalupe, 2544 Madison, KCMO. Visitation at the church Monday from 9-10 a.m. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, KCK.
Raymond was born January 10, 1929 in Bayard, NE to Antonio Diaz and Patricia Estrada Diaz. During his life Raymond work just two jobs; Armour Packing to 20 years and the US Post Office for 22 years as a letter carrier. He was an active member of the church as a lay minister, choir member, reader and member of the Legion of Mary. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathryn Mendoza and Virginia Oropeza. Raymond’s survivors include his wife of 66 years, Margaret of the home; three children, Beatrice Machetta of Niangua, MO; Raymond Diaz, Jr and Michael Diaz, both of Kansas City, MO; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
