Raymond "Max" Henderson, 100, of Independence, MO passed away peacefully on July 22, 2021. Max was born in Neodesha, KS, graduated from Neodesha High School. Max married his wife, Betty Jean Morrow, on Christmas day, December 25, 1941 before leaving for boot camp with the U.S. Marines, stationed in the South Pacific during WW II. Upon conclusion of the war, they settled in Raytown, MO raising 2 daughters.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Toni Miller (John) and Pam Turpen (Michael), 4 granddaughters, 7 great grandchildren and 3 great great grand children.
Max made a huge impact on all our lives and we have many wonderful memories of him. He will be sorely missed.
Graveside service to be held at Newcomer's Floral Hills, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. Family and friends are welcome.
