Richard "Sunny" L. Boxx

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Ada Boxx; brother, Bill Boxx; and three grandchildren: Bradley, Bethany, and Katie Boxx.

Survivors include wife, Donna; children: Rick (Kathy), Terry (Elaine), Nancy Dodd, David (Janet), and Sandra (Tim) Tompkins; sister, Karen Ricketts; along with 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Sunny was born in Braymer, MO. He served in the Army from June 1955 to May 1959 and then in Reserves through May 1963. He worked and retired from General Motors as a proud member of the UAW. Sunny was a giving, dedicated individual as shown in his 66 years of marriage to Donna; his 30 years with GM and lifetime of GM vehicles. As well as his support to multi-generations of family; and to his Lord and Savior through 50 years supporting his local church, Word of Grace Fellowship, and his many friends there.

In honor and memory of Sunny we request you do an unsolicited act of kindness for someone as he did for many. Sunny's servant heart toward others will be missed.

Services will be held at Word of Grace Fellowship 11950 E. State Route 350 Raytown, MO 64138 on Saturday, June 4th, visitation at 10am and Service at 11am.
