Richard Dean Sands, 80, passed away November 5, 2016. Dick was born April 12, 1936, in Kansas City, MO. He was a mechanical engineer at Burns McDonnell and later, Sega. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Raytown. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Jacqueline; sons: Doug Sands, Greg and Cheryl Sands, Glen and Susan Sands: brother and his wife; Bob and Judy Sands; grandchildren: Kristin, Courtney, Hunter and Austin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Opal Howard. To honor Dick’s wishes, he was interred privately at Floral Hills East Cemetery.
