Richard Grieser Shull

Richard Grieser Shull, 94, passed away January 4, 2025. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 25 at Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church where Richard was a member followed by a visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either the Advent Health Foundation or to the Johnson County Community College Foundation.

Richard was born in Kansas City, MO to James G. and Lucille G. Shull who were from Lexington, MO. He was a lifelong Kansas City area resident. Richard attended Southwest High School and after graduation joined the U.S. Navy. Richard and Barbara Jean Wright were married on November 3, 1956. Following his return from the Navy, Richard began his career in the automotive industry and was the longtime owner of Shawnee Mission Ford. Health and education were very important to Richard. He became a longtime supporter of Advent Health and Johnson County Community College.

Richard was preceded in death by a son, Richard G. Shull, II.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; a daughter and son in law, Debbie and Mike Scaramucci; a son, Brad Shull; a daughter in law, Denise Shull; eight grandchildren, Jamie, Andrew, Stephanie, Katie, Ricky, Annie, Ben and Nick; two great grandchildren, Caitlin and Nicole.
