Richard was born in Kansas City, Missouri by parents of Richard F. Stockton, Sr. and Virginia Stockton. Richard went to Paseo High School where he graduated and went on to college. Richard was married in January 1956 to Ann Magruder. They were married for 53 years. They had one daughter, Karen, and one son, Paul.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard F Stockton Sr., mother, Virginia Stockton and wife, Ann Stockton. Richard is survived by his daughter Karen Davis and her spouse Algo, III, his son Paul Stockton, his brother, Harold Stockton and his spouse, Barbara. Richard also leaves his grandson, Algo N. Davis, IV and his spouse Amanda, his granddaughter, Ginney L. McGhee and her spouse, Ben. Richard also had 5 great-grandchildren, Julia, Algo V, Nora, Jonah, and Ada.

Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, December 18 at Mount Moriah Cemetery South at 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131.
