Robert V. Batliner

Robert "Bob" V. Batliner, 88, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011, at Kansas City Hospice House. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 7th, 10:00 a.m., at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 14201 Nall, Leawood, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 or to Kansas City Hospice House, 9221 Ward Parkway, Suite 100, Kansas City, MO 64114. Bob was born June 21, 1922, in Kansas City, Missouri to Martin and Josephine Batliner. He attended Holy Cross Grade School and St. John's Seminary in Kansas City. Bob married Jo Nell Baker in 1952, and together they owned Mr. B's Dress Shop in Dallas, TX, for over twenty years. He was an avid golfer and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Shery Reeves; grandson, Sam Stoothoff; brothers, Martin, Bill, Gene Batliner; and sister, JoEllen Sarvella. He is survived by his wife, Jo; daughter, Michelle (Bill) Stoothoff; grandsons, John Stoothoff, and Robert Reeves; granddaughter, Emily Reeves; brother, Dick Batliner; and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
