Robert was born on September 15, 1927 in Versailles, MO to Paul & Daisy Bixler.
A Visitation will take place from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, March 22 at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, March 23 at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery South.
Robert retired after more than 50 years in the dairy business. He started as a door-to-door delivery man and advanced to become an executive with Roberts Dairy. He was not only an avid Chiefs and Royal’s fan, but also enjoyed watching his grandchildren in their sports and activities. Robert was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 62 years, Betty, two brothers William D. Bixler and Douglas Bixler and a sister Pauline Huff.
He is survived by his son Robert Lee (Mary Ann) Bixler, Jr., grandson Ellis (Kate) Bixler, granddaughter Madeline (Austin) Harris, sister Donna (Marshall) Howard and brother Harold (Sue) Bixler.
