He was a devoted husband to his wife Louann and a loving father to his daughter Stephanie Garrett. Bob cherished his role as a grandfather, inspiring much joy, laughter and good mischief in the lives of his grandchildren: Lexi, Jack, and Dane.
Bob proudly served his country, with two tours in the Navy, during The Vietnam War. He embodied the values of courage, and dedication throughout his life. He lived a strong and amazing life, filled with love, friendship, and a deep commitment to his family.
Some of his personal joys include reading, distance running, a good game of cribbage, combing the beach for seashells and other treasures, and listening to those whom he loved and loved him in return. He loved his dogs, Atlas and Maximo, who provided him companionship and in return he provided them a warm lap to sit on.
There are people who come into your life and stay a while, and then there are people who come into your heart and stay forever. His family will remember him for his kindness, sense of humor, strong work ethic and character. His kind spirit and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
To honor Bob’s memory, a Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 17th, 2025, at the McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Rd, Kansas City, MO, beginning at 1:00pm, where friends and family can come together to honor and celebrate his remarkable life.
