Robert Louis Houston, 75, of Clarksville, AR, formerly of Independence, MO, died February 4, 2012. Born on March 3, 1936, in Parsons, TN, to Howard and Emma Lou Houston, Robert grew up in Kansas City, MO. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked for the Gas Service Company in Kansas City for 33 years, retiring in 1992. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Earla; daughters, Karen and Nancy; sons, Russ and Joe; sisters, Julia and Martha; eight grandchildren; and a great- granddaughter. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, and funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 10, at McGilley & Sheil's Funeral Home Chapel, 11924 E. 47th St., Kansas City, MO 64133.
