Memorial Mass is 10:00 AM Friday, December 17th, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church where a rosary will be prayed at 9:30 AM. Inurnment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. Contributions are suggested to St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church.
Robert was born June 4, 1932 in Potsville, PA and resided in Kansas City since 1962. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict. While in Ft. Benning, GA, Robert met Mary Kathryn Meyers. They married in 1956 and this year celebrated their 65 wedding anniversary. Robert was head of maintenance engineering at the former St. Mary’s Hospital in Kansas City. He was a devoted husband, father of seven, and lived his life for his family.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Henry Lavenburg, SR. and Mary B. (McGlone) Lavenburg; and siblings, Mary Louise, Theresa, Dolores, and Frank.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Kathryn; seven children, Robert, Michael, Ann (Russell), David (Dori), Thomas, Joseph and Mary (Michael); ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia (Jack).
