I miss Robert so much ; I had worked with him first at Naturally Salon , and helped him in his pageant ventures .  When I closed my shop I worked with Robert as he was undertaking the salon on 75th with Tom ( a true gentleman) . 
I moved in and out of KC; for 10 plus years , I tried but didn’t always stay in touch . 
But I think of my fondest friend , such a dear soul , I loved him so !   And just when I was moving back to KC , he had passed and I’m thankful that I was able to attend his service , but I was so sad .  He was the ONE PERSON that I had wanted to see and connect with first .
I will always love you , Robert.

I worked with Robert years ago at The Patio in Halls. He was a breath of fresh air and he exuded confidence. Later, he encouraged me to have my first big art show at his salon in Waldo. A few years ago we crossed paths again. I just found out of his passing and I'm very surprised. His laugh was contagious, he always had pep in his step and a story to tell. Much love to his family, he will be missed.

Just found out about Roberts passing 07-24-16 and still is not real to me. May he rest in Peace Amen

My condolences to his family and friends. I'm honored to have been a client, and blessed to have met this wonderful, fun, kind and generous man; albeit the time was far too short.

I am so very saddened by the loss of Robert. He has been a friend for almost 19 years, and I will miss him very much. Even though I followed Robert from salon to salon during those years, I consider our friendship to be our primary relationship. Robert always could make me smile, and we shared many of life's ups and downs  as friends. He will not be forgotten.

I always loved Robert. We officed together and I always just adored him. He was my friend-he and I shared a lot of laughs. I and my boys went to him for haircuts. I am so sad he is gone. My condolences to the McCain Family. May his memory forever be a blessing.

My deepest condolences are with Robert's family and friends as we grieve the sudden passing of this caring and gifted man. He was my friend, and I will miss him. His smile is unforgettable.

Robert will forever hold a special place in my heart. His warmth and friendliness mixed with generosity and kindness, will extend well beyond his death. He was a kind man, with a big heart. When I think about my sweet childhood memories, it usually revolves around the McCain family.   I lived right down the street .  Robert and his mom and dad would play board games with us and were always so sweet and supportive.  They raised quite the man.  He has touched so many.  What a huge loss.  God bless his family during this difficult time.

Oh, Robert. Learning of your passing deeply saddens me. I remember when we met, almost 10 years ago, when I was 17 and looking for someone to do my hair for my junior prom. I walked out of your salon with a great do and a great job opportunity. You always pushed me to be at my best. This picture is a great representation of our relationship. You always gave me grief about my jeans, t-shirts, and pony tails (Yes, I am sporting one now). I didn't cut my hair until almost 2 years after we parted ways because I was afraid to allow anyone to cut my hair as short as you convinced me I could pull off. You always seen the beauty in every situation, even in a very unladylike person I am. You helped me build my self esteem and I will never forget your immense generosity towards me. This world is truly a less brighter place without you. </3

To "Mr. Bruce" and Donna - Bruce, you spent so much time in our home repairing and updating... My son Jack thought you were a member of our family and I thought so too.  I just learned of Robert's passing and my heart aches for you and your family!  I met Robert a few times in a real estate transaction or two and thought he was so wonderful.  I will say many prayer for all of you.

Robert treated me as though I truly mattered in his life, and his loving and kind treatment of me as a friend and client during a very difficult time of my life contributed to my healing.  He let me cry sitting in his chair and said "Girl, we are going to make you GORGEOUS!" and put his hand on my shoulder.  Such a wonderful and gentle soul.  How honored we all were to know him.  One of life's greatest treasures is an angel on earth, and he was that.  He will be missed.

I will always be thankful for having the opportunity to have been friends with Robert.  He touched my heart in a way that will last a lifetime.  My thoughts are with his family.  I'm very sorry for your loss.
