He was born February 11, 1938 in Kansas City, MO to the late Oscar Dudley Moore, and Elizabeth Myrtle Stevenin. He joined the US Navy and served from 1957 to 1963 on the ships USS Interdictor, and USS General William Mitchell as an E3 Morse code operator. He was a licensed operating engineer in heating and cooling. Working in this field included places such as the KC Art Institute, and UMKC.
He married Marjorie Wagner in 1977. His hobbies were woodworking, rock collecting, playing pool, and was on several bowling leagues. There were plenty of days spent sitting next to the swimming pool with friends that he considered his family.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie, step daughter Rhonda Rinehart, grandson Jeramy Rinehart, a great granddaughter Evelyn Rinehart, and sister Mary Etta Weld. He is also survived by Karen Crabtree, her daughter Sally, and her two grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on March 14, 2023 at Floral Hills Cemetery in Raytown, MO. With Military Honors at 2:30.
