Bob was born July 22,1930 in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Kansas City Southeast High School, graduating in 1947. Bob began working at Hallmark Cards, Inc. in 1948 when he was 18 years old. On September 24,1949, he married Imogene Wilson. During the Korean War, Bob served in the Army as a Teletype Repairman. While working full time, he began night classes at Rockhurst College in 1958, earning a BS/BA degree in 1966. After graduating Rockhurst, in addition to his full-time position at Hallmark, Bob held several second jobs over the years at various department stores and doing renovation/remodel/repair work to supplement his income and provide for his family. He retired from Hallmark Cards in 1991 with 43 years of service. After having lost Imogene in 1996, Bob married Pearl Lin Seck on April 6, 1999.
Throughout his lifetime, Bob was involved in church and served the Lord in many capacities. It was his most fervent desire to carry the message of God’s love through His son, Jesus, and lead others to salvation; most especially his family.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Imogene; and his brothers, John and David.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Pearl Lin; his sons, Jeff and Alan; his daughter, Renee (John); grandchildren, Kiel, Ashlee, Faith (Kyle), Roger, & Payton; and his great-grandchildren, Carter, Gracee, Dominic, & Konnor.
