He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on December, 9, 1956 to Betty Yohe and Spencer Yohe and graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Kansas and was the owner of a financial services company.
Rob married Madeline Voorhees Yohe in 1983. Together they cherished their family, son Graham Yohe of Overland Park Kansas, daughter Amy Ballou-Voorhees of Kansas City, Missouri, granddaughter Chloe Vondemkamp, and grandson Hunter Vondemkamp of Topeka, Kansas.
Known for his love of KU Football, he and family attended as many games as they could and ardently cheered for the Jayhawks in all sports. He also loved the annual fishing vacations to Montana with family.
Rob’s family and friends treasure the memory of his wry sense of humor and his devotion to his grandkids. When he was able, he loved attending the annual Yohe family reunion. He is survived by his immediate family and brothers John Yohe of Phoenix AZ and Thomas Yohe of Denver CO, as well as many Yohe aunts, uncles and cousins.
To honor Rob’s life, a Celebration Gathering will be held from 11-12 on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at McGilley State Line Chapel with lunch following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to University of Kansas Athletic Department’s Foundation.
