

Roberta Louise LeSage, a longtime resident of the Red Bridge area of Kansas City Missouri, died Tuesday, March 20, 2017 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Bobbie is survived by her husband Robert, her two sons, Michael LeSage, DDS of Leawood, KS and Gene LeSage, MD (Jannette) of Johnson City, TN and 5 grandchildren, Brian (Katie) and Patrick LeSage of the Kansas City area and Jonathan (Stephanie), Renee, and Christopher LeSage of the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Born on March 29, 1927 in Topeka, Kansas, and raised in Kansas City, Roberta was the daughter of F. Earl and Hazel (Rukes) Harding. On Feb 1, 1947, Roberta married Robert and they recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. She graduated from Kansas City Junior College and the Kansas City Art Institute, and then later from University of Missouri of Kansas City with a BA in Mathematics and Teaching. She taught mathematics at Center HS in 1970s and 80s and was president of the Center HS PTA in 1969-71.
Roberta, known as “Bobbie” to her friends and family was an amateur artist, craftist in stained glass and calligraphy, a genealogist, who discovered and assembled both her and her husband’s family tree prior to online computing, and a quilter, who completed many hand sewn bed quilts. She was an active member of the Quilters Guild of KC. Bobbie was an avid reader of both fiction and nonfictional works. She enjoyed bowling and playing bridge with her friends.

Bobbie’s greatest enjoyment was to spend time with her husband, Bob, children and grandchildren.
