Roger was born on March 22, 1957, to Milo and Louise Hackett in Kansas City, MO. After graduating from Hickman Mills High School in 1975, he received his associate in business at Longview Community College.
In 1982, Roger met the love of his life, Diane, at O’Briens Partition Company, where they went on to have 2 children of their own, Daniel and Jeffrey, and have a bonus daughter in Jenelle. They were married in June of 1984 and ended up being married for over 36 years.
Roger was a great friend, beloved father, caring mentor, and a heck of a baseball coach who gave it his all every practice, every game, and every interaction.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents Milo and Louise Hackett and his wife, Diane.
He’s survived by his sons, Daniel and Jeffrey, stepdaughter Jenelle, grandkids Zach, Jordan, Cameron, and Wyatt, great granddaughter, Aspen, brother Steve and his wife Tonya, nephew, Nick, and niece, Megan.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 6th at 2:00pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home(7000 Blue Ridge BLVD, Kansas City MO 64133)
