Ronald Eugene Perkins of Kansas City, MO, passed away November 7, 2016, at St. Joseph Hospital. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m., Thursday, November 10, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes Rd., KCMO, with Mass of Christian Burial at 3 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor.
Ron was born Nov. 20, 1936, in Kansas City. He was a Kansas City boy all the way. Ron grew up in St. Francis Parish, graduated from Rockhurst High School and College. He had a lifelong career in real estate. Ron was a friend to everyone and never had an unkind word to say, but that didn’t diminish his ability to sling one-liners. He made us smile and laugh. He was our rock and our steady example.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Fern Perkins; a sister, Dorothy Larson; and a nephew, Jack Larson.
Survivors include his wife, Doreen Perkins; his sons Greg Perkins, Jay Perkins and his wife, Mary Claire Perkins; a daughter, Sherry Bond; and his grandsons: Jake, Kyle and Jack Perkins.
