A Celebration of Life will be on Friday March 11, 2022, 2-4 pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home at 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd. Kansas City, Mo. 64133.
Ron was born in Kansas City, MO to Max and Iona Simmons on July 3, 1947. He attended Van Horn High School. He worked with his father in the heating and cooling business until he enlisted in the Navy, as a Seaman from 1968 to 1970.
Ron worked as a truck driver for EFD, Purolator, Trans 100 and Martin Transfer until his death.
He loved his motorcycle, his jeep and the Chiefs! He loved being with his family and friends. He always had a smile on his face.
He was preceded in death by both parents; step-mother, Christina Simmons; one sister, Kay Bragaw and one brother, Bob Simmons.
Ron is survived by his wife Georgia of 30 years; one son, Ryan (Jenn) Simmons and one daughter, Deanna Simmons; nine grandchildren; three great-granddaughters and four great-grandsons; one brother-in-law, Ron Bragaw; one niece, Kim (Dwayne) Parker and one nephew, Kenny (Ruth) Bragaw; three great nieces; Jonna, Karly, Emily and one great nephew, Randy.
