So sad to hear about Ron.  We went to high school in KC and played baseball when we were kids for the Southtown YMCA.  He was always burly and quiet.  Glad he had a very tight family but a too early exit.

Its hard to believe that its already been a year since your passing. Seems like just yesterday I called you about a problem I was having, and like always, you made it all better. 
Your memory is still alive everyday and Chace (4) knows who you are and still talks about you. Yesterday he said several times, I miss G-daddy. We all miss you very much and wish we had more time with you. I know that you are at peace and that helps a little. You are and always will be the most inspiring, dependable, honest, hard working, and unconditional loving man in my life. RIP Daddy.

It was a rough Christmas, my first Christmas without you. I hope you are celebrating it with Grandaddy, Uncle Carl, Carl Lane, Bob, and all our loved ones we have lost. I know you were with us today and that you continue to watch over us. I know I have the roughest, toughest, rowdiest, loudest, dependable guardian angel possible. Love you Dad, Merry Christmas.

Your heavy in my heart and mind tonight, and every night it seems. Wishing you were here and denying that you're really gone. I still see, hear, and smell you so vividly when I close my eyes and think of you. Love and miss you so much it hurts sometimes. Hoping you're resting in peace.

Last night I dreamed that we got the chance for a proper good-bye. Oddly enough, it all took place on the top floor of National. We got the old '65 cranked up, just to see if we could. You sang. Loudly. It was good to see you.

Chace reminds me more and more of you everyday. He tells us which direction to go when we are driving. We are considering calling him "Map Jr." after his "Mr. Map" G-daddy. Loving and missing you daily.

I was searching on Facebook for him today and it took me to this page where I read of his passing. We went to SW high school together. The last I saw him we were about 19 years old. I am shocked at this news. My thoughts are with all of those he left behind at such an early age.

I dreamt about you last night. You pulled a quarter out of my ear. It was so good to have that time with you, even if it was only in my dreams. Visit me anytime. Love and miss you everyday.

Its a very hard day today. My first fathers day that I can't call you and tell you what an incredible father you are. I still listen you your old voicemails that you had left me and it's soo good to hear your voice, and hear you say you love me, something I never doubted. You always made it very clear that you unconditionally loved us. I am very lucky to have a father like you in my life for as long as I did, wish I could of had you longer. Wish Chace could of had you longer. Chace is a whiz at technology things, just like you. He catches on so quick and drives us crazy wanting to get on our phone game apps and on the computer. You would be proud of him. He is growing so fast and I hope you are still with us to see him grow. I have called Grandmother every monday since you passed. Dont worry, she doesnt go without her weekly call that you always made to her. 
Hope you are having a great fathers day, and know that we are still heartbroken over losing you. You are and always will be the most amazing man in my life. I love you forever and always.

Every year, my dad would remember his dad's birthday (which also happens to be mine) with the statement, "Dad would be XXX years old this year." Since my dad passed in 1997, I find myself doing the same for him, and for my grandfather. And now I do it for you.

My grandfather would be 136 this year.
My dad would be 87 this year.
You would be 56 today.

Keep an eye on the girls and Chace. They still need you.

Dad, I hope you can see this from up above, Osama is dead!!!!!! I know you would be so proud of US military right now, as am I. GOD BLESS THE US!!!

Thank you to the person who paid to keep my dads guest book online. It is GREATLY appreciated by his family. Its comforting knowing that someone cares so much to do that.

As time passes, it doesn't get any easier. I miss you everyday. Wishing you were here to answer my calls. I broke into tears the other day hearing, Im Bad, Im Nationwide from ZZ top. I could hear you singing it. Just know that I am missing you and thinking about you everyday. I will never forget your unconditional love.

I know that you are with me everyday, just wish I could hear your songs, laugh, and advice. I miss you everyday Dad.

I hurt so much for my son, your 3 yr old grandson, who will never truly understand the depth of your presence, your witty comments, your unconditional love for your family. I will keep your memory alive as I tell him the wild stories of my childhood and remind him how much you loved him. RIP Daddy. My you be riding in the clouds and forever watching over us.

I've known you half my life. I still have your last voicemail from February 4 stored on my phone. "Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth upon this continent a new nation..." How many times have to quoted this to me while filling an awkward silence? Tried three times to return your call, but never got an answer. Story of our lives, isn't it?
