I met Ron many years ago when our group Rogers Brothers Heritage was looking for a place to record. What a great experience to be able to work with Ron and Grant in Soundtrek and grow under their remarkable experience. I can remember Ron's smile when explaining the process of multi-track recording. We were really green and new to the professional recording venue. That was the start of a business friendship that is still as important today as it was at that time. We miss Ron and thank him for the years of recording along with Grant and his untouched knowledge of everything electrical---etc. etc. etc. We will truly miss this recording icon in KC.

Ron, you are a true treasure for Kansas City! I had the pleasure of recording my first two releases with you. I'll never forget what I learned or the wonderful experiences I had recording with you. Abundant blessing to your loved ones!

Dear Ron...what a sad day, because we lost you. You were a wonderful part of jazz in KC for these many years, always smiling and encouraging...and, can't forget generous. I always looked forward to our Happy Birthday calls. You will always hold a special musical and personal place in my heart. ~ Pat Wilson

Ron, what a class act! Ron and Grant opened up their Studio to two guys eager to record Contemporary Christian music in the Kansas City area. Always ran a clean and tight ship at Soundtrack, that attention to detail is what attracted us to form a relationship with Ron and Grant! Thanks for the great memories and the relationship that was formed. We will keep you and your family in our prayers.

My history with Ron began even before he came to KC. I used to occasionally go to Omaha to record jingles for Dave Izzard and Ron was always the engineer. It was fantastic news when it was announced that Ron would come to KC to open a new studio. Thus began a new age for recording in our city. It's a personal honor that I played on the very first recording done at 3727 Broadway. Ron was always extremely encouraging and it was a delight to work with him. I'll always remember his warm smile whenever I arrived to set up for a session. This is the saddest of news that we've lost him. Also sad, that because of my classroom teaching schedule I'll miss his memorial service. But we all have countless memories of times making historical recordings with him which will continue his legacy for generations to come.

Ron taught me so much about how to be a voice over artist. He was the engineer at the beginning of my career. Could not have been successful without him. He was so wonderful and supportive!

Ron has become family who I had the privilege of spending almost each day with over the last 10 years working with him at the studio. He was the biggest influence in my life, mentor and friend. I will miss him so much. We carry on his legacy through his records he made and future works in his honor. Love you my friend.

I'm so sad and surprised to hear we lost Ron. He seemed fine this summer. Unfortunately I'll be out of town for the week. Ron always had super kind compliments for me and the other musicians. His contagious easy going nature was a treasure in what could be a nerve - racking experience recording. I miss you, Ron.

So sorry to hear of Ron's death. He was the recording engineer on many of The Cathedral Singers' CDs. We always loved when he would come to Chicago to work with us; he always made us sound our best. He was an artist and a gentleman.
