

Worthy Sir Knight, Ronald L. (Ron) Wood, 71, passed away on March 13, 2013 at home surrounded by his family & loved ones. Visitation at St. Bernadette’s Church on Mon., March 18, from 6 - 9pm with rosary at 7:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial 10am on Tues. at the church with interment following in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Ron was born in New Cambria, MO on June 17, 1941 to Beulah & Harold Wood. He was the youngest of three children. Ron served his country in the U.S. Army from 1960 – 1963. Returning home, he went to work for KCP&L; retiring in 2001 as Foreman in Traffic Signals after 36 years of service. Sir Knight Ronald served as State Deputy of the Knights of Columbus in the state of Missouri from 2004 to 2006. He was the former District Master of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus in the state of Missouri from 2006 to 2010 & was known as the T-Man for the 3rd Degree. Ron was preceded in death by his first wife, Lila Wood; his father & a sister, Phyllis Dorrian. He is survived by his wife, Mary; his mother; a sister, Jeanette Wood; his stepsons, Lawrence Roos (Margie) & Michael Hammer (Charity); his stepdaughters, Connie Eells (Gary), Pam Wilson (Tim) & Julie Hammer; his grandsons, Terry & Shawn Roos, Brian Deichler (Jeanine) & Charles Michael Hammer; his granddaughters, Tracy Garcia, Lisa Deichler, Irene Brinkerhoff & Lindsey Wilson; 11 great grandchildren & two great-great grandchildren.
