

Rose Ellen McBratney, aged 80, passed away on June 24, 2024, in Kansas City, Missouri. Born on December 13, 1943, in Kansas City, Kansas, she led a vibrant life marked by her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to her family.
Rose was the beloved owner of Hair Bazaar and also worked as a real estate agent, bringing joy and comfort into the lives of those she worked with. Her laughter was contagious, and her love for travel often found her exploring new destinations with her family, which remained one of her greatest joys. She also loved to decorate everyone's home who were willing to listen.
Rose's faith was an important aspect of her life, guiding her through many of life's journeys. Her hobbies included cooking large quantities of food, which she lovingly shared with friends and family, further showcasing her generous and welcoming nature. Later in life, she learned to enjoy knitting for her family and gardening to eat in a more healthy way.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. McBratney, Jr.; her parents, Eugene and Margaret Glenn; and her sisters, Sharon McAmis and Madeleine Klein. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her son, Darren McBratney; daughter-in-law, Jennifer McBratney; and granddaughters, Bridget Daugherty and Maddie McBratney.
A service to celebrate Rose's life will be held at the Church of the Nativity, 3800 West 119th Street, Leawood, KS, on July 8 at 11 AM, with a lunch to follow immediately after the service. McGilley State Line Chapel in Kansas City, Missouri, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
