Sandra P. Theroux

Sandra (Sandy) Paulette Theroux, 65, went to be with our heavenly father on November 2, 2013. She passed away at home with her husband by her side. Visitation is at St Catherine of Siena Parish, 4101 E 105th Terr., KCMO., 6:00 to 7:00pm Monday, November 11, and 9:00 to 10:00am Tuesday, November 12, with a memorial service and reception following. In lieu of flowers Sandra asked that donations be made to Catholic Community Hospice.

Sandra was born in Minneapolis, Mn., where she met Jerome Pomerleau to whom she was married for thirty years and together they raised their 5 children from previous marriages and a foster son with much love. After losing Jerome to cancer in 2005, she met Roger Theroux while working at Bass Pro and they developed a loving relationship that led to a loving marriage.

Sandra was a member of the Eastern Star for 27 years, rising to the level of Ass. Matron and Grand Rep. of Ohio and Alabama, among other key positions. She retired from HyVee after almost 19 years in the bakery and as a customer service manager. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and horseback riding and had become an enthusiastic fly-fisherwoman in recent years.

Sandra is survived by her husband of five years, Roger and her precious four-legged children, Toby and Herbie of the home; son Paul Pomerleau and wife Doris; son Joel Pomerleau and 4 grandsons; daughter Teresa Encarnacion and 2 granddaughters; daughter Nancy Burrell, husband Brian and 2 grandsons; son James Pomerleau, wife Theresa and granddaughter; son Shawn Bullock, wife Jennifer and grandson; grandson Scott Pomerleau and wife Andrea; granddaughter Nichole Pomerleau; and sister-in-law Ann Donaldson.
