

Sinuhe Alexander Pecina, Sr., born March 6, 1966 of Kansas City, Mo. passed away at St. Luke' s Hospital losing his battle to Covid pneumonia on February 4, 2022. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather and friend.
He worked as a guard for Wells Fargo and later became a supervisor at a battery company. Sinuhe suffered a lot with back problems and had to leave the workforce.
Growing up, Sinuhe loved to skateboard and do tricks. He and another brother would build Go Carts (which were terrible) and race other kids in the neighborhood . He and two other brothers joined a little league baseball and were pretty good baseball players. Later, Sinuhe attended Westport High School in which he took ROTC. He really took pride in polishing his buckles and shoes.
Sinuhe valued family. He enjoyed getting together with family members on holidays to
barbecue , play basketball, volleyball, swimming, camping and fishing. At Christmas he would dress up in a Santa suit and he and Santa's helper would pass out treats to the kids. For Easter, he would dress up as the Easter Bunny and hide eggs.
Sinuhe liked watching shows that showed how things were made. He would also get on Facebook and watch people live blow glass. He liked collecting blown glasspieces.
He liked to get together with friends. They would tinker with cars and listen to music. His favorite was Motown oldies.
Above all, he loved the Lord. When you sat with him and told him what the Lord was teaching you; You could just see his face light up. He knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
Sinuhe is preceded in death by his parents, Philigonia and Jacob Pecina, Sr. and a sister
Ernestina (Tina). Surviving him are: his son, Sinuhe, Jr., his grandchildren, Elijah and Catalina . He also has ten surviving brothers and sisters: Isaiah, Jacob, Jr., Ricardo, Noe', Mary, Cruz, Rose,
Yolanda, Loretta, Sally and many beloved nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his long-time friend, Rita.
A visitation for Sinuhe will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 25, 2022 at McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood blvd, Kansas City, MO 64111, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow services in St. Mary's Cemetery.
