

Song Sun So was born on December 5, 1934 in Gangwon Province in Korea to his parents, Eun Taek So and Yong Neo Kim. He was the first born and has two brothers and one sister.
During the Korean War he escaped to Busan with his mother and his siblings.
He married his wife, Kwi Bok Park in 1962. He worked for the United States Army base in Korea. He immigrated to the United States in 1977 and settled In Omaha, Nebraska.
He lived a rich and fulfilling life, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a man of faith, spending most of his later years reading the Bible, attending church, and spending time with friends and family.
He was a man of many passions and interests. He was a voracious reader and was never without a book to read. He also loved to paint, hike, and swim at his local gym.
He was a devoted husband to his wife and a loving father to his three children. His eight grandchildren held a special place in his heart and there was nothing he loved more than to spend time with them.
Mr. So was preceded in death by his wife, Kwi Bok Park.
He is survived by his three children:
Lisa and her husband, Jay Kim
Mindy and her husband, Mike Kim
Steve and his wife, Yon Chung
Eight grandchildren:
Hannah and her husband, Matthew Shin
Daniel, David, Hailey, Emily, Yuri, Daehyun, and Hyunu.
A celebration of life funeral service from will be held Saturday June 24, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer and Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131,
