He married his high-school sweetheart, Jacqueline Crumm, in 1950. They raised two children: Edward Stacy Crumm and Wendy Kay Crumm Rinehart.
Stacy loved his family more than anything. He also loved his KC Royals and KC Chiefs. He was competitive and once sprang both ankles in an afternoon round of back-yard basketball never stopping until the game was over. He was challenging people and winning ping-pong games well into his 80’s.
He loved dancing and singing and flirting with the ladies. He was a jokester. Even when words escaped him, he told jokes and had a gleam in his green eyes. He played cards, loved being on his boat, he loved camping and taking his grandchildren to the lake. And he loved wine!
He volunteered at St. Joseph hospital following the death of his son. After that he became the mailman for Family Solutions for Care, and everyone lit up when they saw him coming.
He was preceded in death by his singing angel granddaughter, Jennifer Lynne Crumm, his beloved wife of 52 years, Jacqueline Grace Crumm, and his devoted son, Edward Stacy Crumm, sisters, Helen Watkins, Christine Struzick, and Joyce Coonce, as well as his brother, Jim Crumm.
He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Reffitt, daughter, Wendy Rinehart and her husband David Rinehart, Grandchildren, Jacqueline Patterson, Sean Patterson, Michelle Mills, Brian Crumm, Rachel Panus, Brendan Crumm, Jeremiah Rinehart, Zachary Rinehart, and Jessica Rinehart. He was also blessed by 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson.
He will be greatly missed. He would want everyone to sing and lovingly smile when they think of him.
