Stanley Joseph Klimek

Stanley Joseph Klimek, Jr., 83, passed away Friday, September 18, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Church of the Nativity, 3800 W 119th St, Leawood, KS. Visitation will be from 6:20 -8 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at McGilley State Line Chapel where a Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Burial will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, St. Joseph, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or the Salvation Army, 3637 Broadway, Kansas City, MO 64111.

Stanley was born October 24, 1931 in St. Joseph, Mo to Stanley and Katherine Klimek. He graduated from UMKC Pharmacy School and later served two years with U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He married Jo Ann Hager on June 18, 1955. Stanley worked for and retired from Upjohn Pharmaceutical Company. He was a Fourth degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jo Ann Klimek; four children and their spouses: Catherine (Gregg) Sharp, Christopher (Mala) Klimek, Kimberly (Karl) Delecaris, Bryan (Jennifer) Klimek.; and ten grandchildren.
