Starlene Fay Moore

Born and raised in Independence, Missouri. Starlene was married to the love of her life August 28, 1957 where she resided in Raytown, Missouri raising 4 children. Married 52 years until her husband Don passed. For their 50th anniversary they hosted their family on a trip to Hawaii. One of their favorite activities was hosting a weekly family dinner.

Star was an amazing seamstress, making clothes, quilts, afghans, potholder and more for her family and friends. She loved to garden, providing the family with more tomatoes that could be eaten. She loved her family and spent many years watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren while their parents worked. As the grandchildren grew and became active in activities, she would attend them all, even traveling to any out of town events.

Survivors include her daughter Sally Jenkins (Ron), Donica Holt (Jim) and Sidra Yeo (Steve), grandchildren; Danielle Hoglen, Katie Brewer, Michael Jenkins, Ashley Clark, Kyle Yeo, Travis Yeo and Shelby McMurray, along with great-grandchildren Connor Cahill, Caleb Cahill, Carter Hoglen, Everly Yeo, Wyatt Yeo, Lane Clark, Hudson Clark and Peyton McMurray. She is preceded in death by her parents Virgil and Clara Snowden, husband Don Moore and son Bill Moore.

A visitation for Starlene will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133. A funeral service will occur Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133. A graveside service will occur Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133.
