

Sue was born on November 26, 1932, to Theo and Vee and had 12 brothers and sisters, which all preceded her in death.
Sue was married at a young age to Mr. Clyde Boyd, who also preceded her in death. Together they had three daughters: Debra, Cynthia, and Diane. They traveled for the service for many years and settled down at the farm.
Sue was a cosmetologist, military wife, and a homemaker. She is a mother, grandmother, friend, great grandmother, aunt, and niece.
She lived a beautiful life. She enjoyed her cat; Babe Blue, and Happy Hour with her friends; especially her margaritas and martinis, playing cards, going to the casino, her daytime shows, planting plants, enjoying the sunshine on her golf cart, the Kansas City Chiefs, and online shopping.
Sue had a heart of gold. She was Stubborn. She was very loving and compassionate. She always spoke her mind. She was fun, spunky, outgoing, and loved by her family and friends. She was the definition of a classy lady.
Sue is survived by her three children; Debra (Vic) Smotherman of Dixon, Missouri; Diane Boyd of Oak Grove, Missouri; and Cynthia (Perry) Hoffman of Jefferson City, Missouri; 8 grand children and 13 great grandchildren; her cat, Babe Blue, her friends and neighbors, and many other extended family members.
Sue was cared for by her neighbor and best friend Amber and her family, and daughter Debra.
A visitation will be held Monday, January 20, 2025, from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Newcomer’s Floral Hills Funeral Home (7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64133).
A funeral Service will take place Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Newcomer’s Floral Hills Funeral Home, with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 PM at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
