

Sylvia F. Livingston, 85, of Topeka, KS passed away after a sudden illness on July 5, 2017 surrounded by family at Aldersgate Hospice in Topeka, KS. Funeral Service 11am Mon., July10, 2017 with visitation one hour prior. Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery.
Sylvia was born on July 26, 1931 in Pittsburg, Ks to George Epple and Myrtle Snyder. She was the fifth of seven children. Her 6 siblings proceeded her in death: Ernest, Victor, Grace, Ermil, Georgia and Katherine.
Sylvia graduated from Northeast High School in Kansas City, MO and later married Benjamin Livingston, who proceeded her in death. She retired from Southwestern Bell/AT&T after 48 years as a supervisor.
Sylvia was active in the community being a member of Telephone Pioneers, Jackson County Election Board Official, Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, Tarrara Court as well as being an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Independence, MO. At church, she participated as an elder, librarian, ladies circle leader and choir member.
She is survived by her daughter, Diana (Kim Kent) Komarek of Topeka, KS; son, Larry (Connie) Livingston of Aiken, SC; 6 grandchildren, Stephanie, Brian, Mary, Stephen, Lisa and Joseph as well as and numerous great grandchildren.
