

Terry (Ted) was raised in Arkansas until his early elementary school years when his family moved to Kansas City, MO. After attending McCoy Elementary and graduating from East High School in 1962, Terry was drafted into the U.S. Army and married his high school sweetheart, Teresa Armour. He was stationed at The Pentagon during his Army years. After working a few other jobs in the newspaper business, Terry became a Kansas City Police Officer; he retired as a Detective after 25 years of service. The following Monday, after his retirement, he went to work for the Grain Valley MO Police Dept. as their first detective, while there he served as Detective and Captain.
Terry loved his family, was a loyal friend and a huge fan of baseball.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Ernie C. and Essie M. (Bradsher) Ford.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Teresa Ford, son Ryan J. Ford (Julie), twin brother Jerry (Pete) (Mary Lou) Ford and brother Ronnie D. Ford (Paula), three grandchildren, Zachary(Liz) Blake (Clea) and Kaitlyn (Josh), and three great grandchildren, Oliver,Thea and Joshua Parker.
