Theo L. Pellham Anderson

Theo Loneta Anderson, age 87, was born January 22, 1923 in Arno, Missouri, a small town in southern Missouri, and passed away at the John Knox Care Center in Lee’s Summit, Missouri the evening of Sunday, August 29, 2010. Her family moved to St. Joseph, Missouri in 1924 where Theo graduated from Benton High School. Theo later attended Platte Business College and moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she spent most of her adult life. She retired from the Gas Service Company after several years working as a bookkeeper. She devoted time as a volunteer at the Shepherd’s Center in Kansas City and attended the Evangelistic Center Church. Theo was preceded by her husband, James Martin Anderson, who died December, 1996, and by her mother, Ona Pellham, her father H.J. Pellham, her brother Edwin Pellham and her sister-in-law Ruth Pellham. Survivors include her stepson James R. Anderson, her stepdaughter Candace Huschle, her niece Pam Chadwick, her niece Marsha Phillips and her nephew Darel Pellham. The family wishes to express its appreciation for the support shown by the hospice team at the John Knox Care Center. Visitation will be held at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 1st, and funeral services will be held at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 2nd. Private entombment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Condolences may be made at www.mtmoriah-freeman.com.
