Theresa Marie Brown

The only daughter and oldest of three children, Theresa was born in Independence, Missouri on August 5, 1957 to William Morris and Julia (Kozloski) Morris. She worked in accounting for the majority of her employment at Applebees and various banks, and she was known as a "human computer". She scored genius level in school and received her degree from UCM.

Theresa was a very talented bowler and had three "300" games. Her greatest accomplishment was her three children, to whom she devoted her entire life. Unfortunately, she had been ill for the last 10 years and missed making memories with her grandchildren. She would want to be remembered for her hands-on parenting and being her kids' #1 fan. She was a no-nonsense, tell-you-like-it-is friend. Sarcasm was her love language. Mama Bear was who she was.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, William and Julia Morris. She is survived by son William Brown, Michole Toombs, Zavion Toombs, Davon Toombs, Emani Brown, William "Doobie" Brown Jr., Heaven Brown, Miracle Brown, son Chris Brown, Landen Stanley, Drake Brown, Maliyah Brown, daughter Jessica Brown, Jayce Celestine, brother William "Bill" Morris Jr., and brother Robert Morris.

A visitation for Theresa will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 9 AM at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery. A funeral service will take place at 10 AM, followed by a graveside service and reception.
