Thomas G. “Tom” Antonopoulos, 82, Kansas City, Missouri, passed away June 12, 2012. Visitation from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Friday, June 15, with Trisagion and AHEPA beginning at 7:30 p.m, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 12001 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64145. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. Tom was born November 30, 1929 in Wichita, Kansas, son of Gus A. and Nota (Kourelias) Antonopoulos. He was a lifetime member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. He served as Altar boy, Secretary of the church, Board of Directors, Parish Council President, member of the Order of AHEPA Chapter 73 for 60 years serving as past President several times, and a District 15 Governor of AHEPA. Tom was a U.S. Marine Corps Korean War veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents Gus and Nota Antonopoulos. Tom is survived by his wife of 56 years, Maria Antonopoulos; son Constantine and wife Tammy Antonopoulos; daughter Pamela and husband Don Jones; four grandchildren Alex and Sophia Antonopoulos and Amanda and Christina Pullen; and one great-grandchild Jada (Zoe).
