Thomas Wayne Casey

Thomas “Tom” Wayne Casey, 57 of Kansas City, MO passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the Village Hospice House in Lee’s Summit, MO. Visitation from 2-3:30pm Sat., Jan. 24th at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel with memorial service beginning at 3:30pm.

Tom was born June 17, 1957 in Independence, MO to D.D. & Patricia (Call) Casey. Tom was employed as an ASE certified GM mechanic and was often contacted by family & friends to repair their vehicles because of his skilled expertise. He was a self-proclaimed “gear head” who could fix anything. Tom was a motorcycle & outdoor enthusiast enjoying the time he spent riding motorcycles, hunting & fishing. He was also an excellent cook and was comfortable cooking inside & out. Tom was a dog owner & loved his pets, Angel and Bo-Cephus; “Bo” had passed away in 2012.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Michael Casey. He is survived by his wife, Richelle; a son, Travis Casey; a daughter, Crystal Casey; step-sons, Sean Brannan & Jacob Redman; step-daughters, Stacey Shannon & Peyton Redman; a brother, Robert Casey (Betty); three grandchildren, Cecilia Casey, Myles Casey & Teagan Slavens.
