

Vince Cowan, 89, passed away Monday, March 28, 2011, into the loving arms of his Father in heaven to rejoin his beloved bride, Mary Louise. He leaves his three sons: Patrick (Jo Ann), John Dennis, and Robert O. Cowan and their families and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Vince was a past District Deputy, Grand Knight and 4th degree Knight of Columbus with Father Manion Council 1698. He was employed and retired from Trico Industries (formerly, Columbian Steel Tank Co.). For the past years he has been a resident of John Knox Village in Lee’s Summit, Mo.
Vince was most proud of his service in the United States Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He served on the U.S.S. Ticonderoga and the U.S.S. Yorktown. He was a Navy man through and through.
Funeral Liturgy will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 1st at McGilley State Line Chapel, with burial following in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 31st at McGilley State Line Chapel from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., where the Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 8026 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO, 64114.
