Wayne T. Ebberts

Wayne Talbot Ebberts, 87, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away April 12, 2012.Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by funeral service 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 16, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64145. Mr. Ebberts was born June 26, 1924 in LeLoup, Kansas. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather. He was married to his wife, Lois, for 63 years. A life-long learner, our Dad's accomplishments were many. He enjoyed carving wood Santas, Kachinas and special Christmas ornaments made for each grandchild and great-grandchild every year. He loved working with youth as a Sunday School teacher and Boy Scout leader. He shared stories of his travels to all 50 states and many countries during his tour of duty in World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Eva Ebberts, a brother Robert Ebberts and a sister Naomi Kramer. Mr. Ebberts is survived by his wife Lois; two sons Don Ebberts of Kansas City, Missouri and James Ebberts of Lee's Summit, Missouri; and a daughter Nancy Gibbens of Tonganoxie, Kansas. He has ten grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. He leaves us with a legacy of knowledge and a love of family. Condolences may be offered at www.mtmoriah-freeman.com.
