Wayne Eldon Kelsey

Wayne Eldon Kelsey, 74, of Independence MO, passed away on May 3rd, 2022 from an extended battle with Leukemia. Wayne was born February 20, 1948 to Tom and Delaine Kelsey in Independence MO. Graduating from Van Horn High School in 1966. He provided for his family as a skilled floor layer, then later as the beloved custodian at Little Blue Elementary School. He will be remembered as a faithful and loving husband of 54 years, to childhood sweetheart, Cathy (Rathbun), role model and friend to sons Thad and Eric. Fisherman, storyteller and Crampa (aka Grandpa). Wayne was predeceased by parents Tom and Delaine and brother Kevin. He is survived by wife Cathy, son Thad and wife Ginny, son Eric and wife Tricia. Grandchildren Devon, Julia, Hope, Kate and Tommy. Brothers Dale, Jerry and Dean. In lieu of flowers please consider a gift to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
