Bill was not only a great father in law, but a good friend. He would always greet me with a firm handshake, and big smile. We would always have a good time sharing our stories, and laughter. I can still hear him laughing and getting excited while telling a story. I will miss those times we shared. Bill will be greatly missed by all.
We will all cherish the time he shared in our lives. It was a blessing knowing him. I'm sure my mother in law Judy will miss him, and appreciate everyone's prayers during this difficult time . Love you guys

Grandma, I hope he knew that I loved him. More importantly, I hope he realized how much the girls looked forward to seeing him every visit to MO. Emma will be auditioning in early 2016 with two selections of music he sent her. I know he will be watching over her.

I wish we were there to tell you we love you too. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We will see you soon - I promise.

Uncle Bill to us here in Massachusetts - was such a great presence. Good memories of time in Bayside Maine, Taunton Mass. and Little Compton Rhode Island. When I drove across country after college Uncle Bill was the first person to offer his home and a tour of Independence. Much love to the family - he will be missed.

Sorry to miss the service tomorrow. I am so thankful to have spent a little time with him in the last few years, our trip to see Aunt JennyVee in Mass, going out to lunch at Gingers, seeing him at daughter, Hannah's wedding, and visits at the house. I'll be having coffee with him in spirit. Love my Aunt Judy and Uncle Billy(he would correct me...call me Bill!) Big hugs to all the family. ❤

Our heartfelt condolences to Judy and family. Bill and I were friends ever since we got our drivers licenses together at 16 (1951). He was my best friend all through high school and for many years since.  His passing will leave a hole in my being.  He will be missed by many people...he was always a friend you could count on.

Dearest Judy and family, Bill was a wonderful, talented, devoted, Christian husband and father, and we know he will be deeply missed by family and friends.  His effervescent smile would always light up a room.  It was great seeing you both during your 1954 Chrisman Class breakfasts.  "Try not to weep because he's gone; smile because he was here." I worked with Bill for several years at Blue Springs Transportation.  He drove field trips for me.  I knew if I needed a driver at the last minute Bill never told me no.  After he retired from driving the school buses, I found out how small this world is.  He became the driver for my special needs sister. I missed Bill when he retired now I'll miss him in my heart.
