Bill and Karen were married 53 years. They had four children: Bill (Jr.), Jim (Diana), Dan (Wendy), and Chloe Simms (Ed). He was the grandfather to five grandchildren (Henry Simms, Zach Pruitt, Max Simms, Charlie Simms, and Gia Pruitt). Being a grandfather is what he did best in life.
Bill was a policeman (retired) on the K.C., MO Police Department and a home builder for many years. He was a private pilot and had an airplane that he was very proud of. He loved to fly and ride his Harley. He completely restored his Model T (C-cab) truck and drove it in the Martin City St. Patrick’s Day Parade for many years. He loved hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren. He had many interests such as magic, taking care of his fish ponds and waterfall, swimming pool and taking care of various animals. He always had a German Shepherd by his side. His current dog is Ricoh, who misses him greatly.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents (Edward L. Pruitt and Anna Pruitt) and his brother, John R. Pruitt.
Bill’s life was full. His later years were devoted to showing and teaching his grandchildren as much as he could. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
